Fall is here!

E turned 4 and had a great birthday party! The house was packed (time to book a bigger venue, our house won't cut it anymore), it was hot, but I think everyone had a great time. It was a Fresh Beat Band theme, complete with groovy smoothies, pizza from Harper's Singing Pizza Cafe, Marina's hip hop and pop cakes*, Shout's Cool Beans, Kiki's kickin dip, and Twist's Sweet sodas! The children played musical chairs, made a noisemaker craft and danced. This party had a lot of trial and errors but now I know better than to have a group of 3-4 year olds do a craft (that takes time) because their attention span is just not long enough (thanks for the great idea, Nick JR. NOT!) Unfortunately my phone was dead and I took pictures on my mom's camera, which means I will probably never download them and get them :( But I did get a good picture of her on her actual birthday holding up a couple of her presents.

*Pop cakes are NOT as easy as they look! What a miserable project to bake lol

She started Pre-school and she loved it so much that we switched her to 3 days a week instead of just 2. She is learning so much, knows all her vowels and sounds, days of the week, months in the year, etc. Her teacher tells me they will start learning how to read in January, whaat!? my baby 4 year old is gonna learn how to read!

We have taken a break from gymnastics for the fall and she is now doing soccer. We are Team Marsh aka the butterflies, N is coaching, something I never thought he would agree to do but he loves his baby girl and it had to be done (I think he secretly enjoys it though, shh don't tell). We have won our 2 games so far, yay! E is still getting the hang of it and although she hasn't scored a goal yet, she's getting better. She is the youngest/smallest on the team so keeping up is kind of hard for her.

D is crawling now, has a total of 6 teeth and I can already tell he is going to be a wild child. E & D have so much fun together and get along really well (for the most part). Watching them grow together is going to be SO much fun! He still can't say many words, just "mama" & "dada" he knows what a lot of words mean and smiles when he recognizes or understands what we're talking about. He claps when he gets excited and it's so cute! I wish my phone were fast enough to get good pictures of him in action!

N's 27th birthday just passed (I had a birthday in August, yada yada) and I made him the most delicious chocolate cake. It's a recipe I found on Pinterest called "Ultimate Death by Chocolate Brownie Cake" (link takes you to the recipe). Mine was not as beautiful but it was so good, who cares! I will definitely be making this cake again the next chance I get :)

We had to take "Raja" back to her shelter, she was not a good pet for children. We have now taken in Crash & Disco from next door and they are great! They like E, they don't mind D when he smacks on them, they cuddle and the best thing about them, they don't bite or scratch! E has a few scratches from playing with them but that's bound to happen with any cat. We are just glad we can actually touch our pets this time, Raja would have E's arm if she were to try to pick her up but Crash & Disco love E's love.
Cuddly "Crash"
Loveable "Disco"

Everything is going great and we are having fun everyday and enjoying life. Next up...Halloween!! yay! Can't wait to get our costumes and have fun! Until then!
